People who want to become or stay Dutch nationals
You wish to become a Dutch citizen, or maybe you are confronted with the (imminent) threat of losing your Dutch citizenship. You already realise that Dutch nationality law is a unique area of law in which major and various interests can play a role. Mynta Law specializes in this complex area of law. If you wish to become or remain a Dutch national, we can provide you with expert and comprehensive advice and assistance.
Guidance with naturalisation
Naturalisation is the most commonplace way to apply for Dutch nationality. Each year, tens of thousands of people become Dutch citizens in this way. Mynta Law can advise you about becoming a Dutch national, and prepare and process your application. We are goal-driven and solution-oriented.
Guidance with option procedures
A second way in which one can obtain Dutch nationality upon application is by "option". Option is often faster and more favourable than naturalisation, but it is only possible in specific situations. Mynta Law, as a specialist, is aware of the many exceptions, and can therefore quickly and thoroughly determine whether an option is possible for you and, if so, prepare your supporting documents and process your application.
Dual Nationality
The Netherlands is very strict when it comes to allowing dual or multiple nationality, but there are important exceptions. Mynta Law can advise you on these exceptions and help you make use of these legal exceptions whenever possible. We can determine if, in addition to Dutch nationality, you can retain your other nationality or nationalities.
Withdrawal or loss of Dutch citizenship
The IND can revoke your Dutch nationality, or you can automatically lose Dutch citizenship in certain situations. These are immensely stressful situations, as part of your identity is taken away from you. Mynta Law can assist you in your relationship with government agencies. We can advise you regarding possible evidence to prevent such a procedure and argue your case effectively with our knowledge of nationality law. During the processing of your case, we will always keep you informed about the progress of your case and your rights.
Objection and (higher) Appeals
A significant number of the changes to migration law originate in the courtroom. Effective litigation requires a detailed knowledge of the law, together with considerable resourcefulness and persuasiveness. Mynta Law has all these qualities and extensive litigation experience before all Dutch Administration Justices, and even the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Fixed rates, so no financial surprises
Wherever possible, Mynta Law applies fixed rates to the handling of a specific case. Our rates are in line with the current market level. Therefore, on engaging Mynta Law, you know in advance what your costs will be.
