Children of a foreign diplomat in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, children of a foreign diplomat/a staff member of an international organisation can be issued an MFA card (ie. diplomatic ID/privileged status).
This MFA card can be issued up to the age of 24. Once a child turns 25, they need to be enrolled in a Dutch school/university in order to have their MFA card renewed (annually). Also, they need to be unmarried, financially dependent on their parent(s), not in possession of a permanent Dutch residence permit, and live continuously in the Netherlands during the posting of their parent(s).
However, it is worth mentioning that an MFA card can only be issued to a dependent child up to the age of 27 (including 27)! Thus, it is sensible to plan in advance and make sure that you have all the ducks in a row.
